|Grenoble is a city well known for the high quality of it's lifestyle. This is due to it's exceptional natural environment and the diversity of it's urban and cultural life. Considered as a true Alpine metropolis, Grenoble was in 1968 the host city for the Winter Olympic Games. The numerous mountain lakes and the proximity of the mediterranean sea provide plenty of scope for sailing.
Moreover, Grenoble is the second French economic pole (after Paris) for high technologies. It also has the highest concentration of patents in electronics and electricity.

TGV, high speed train, is direct from Paris (450 km) and Lyon (100 km).
Please note that seat reservations on the TGV are obligatory and should be made when you buy your ticket.
